Blades Training, Inspection of LPS (NOT GWO)
To qualify participant to perform inspection and documentation of Lightning Protection System (LPS) on all types of WTG blades, according to GBS documentation. NOTE : A minimum of 6 participants is required for this course to be created - on your request. Maximum participants in one class are 10 participants.

Course Objectives:
Carry out General Visual Inspection from ground level.
Carry out Close Visual inspection of lightning receptors from ground level or up tower from rope, crane basket or platform.
Measure out resistance in LPS use of milliohm meter.
Replace lightning receptor wear parts.
Recognize typical lightning damages on blade surface and structure.
Use correct terms for LPS communication.
Fill in documentation.
Describe the general construction of WTG lightning protection system on blades.
Describe electrical resistance and measuring units
Demonstrate function and reading of lightning registration card
Describe health risk involved working on LPS?
