GWO Working at Heights Refresher incl. Boat Transfer (from week 38)
This module includes both GWO Working at Height and Boat Transfer. Boat Transfer is a specialized course based on elements from GWO SS (Sea Survival) and GWO WAH (Working at Height). The course is offered to students who already hold STCW or an equivalent certification. The course includes both theoretical and practical training related to sections 7 and 9 of the GWO SS standard – “Safe Travel and Transfer”. This course includes elements from GWO WAH, ensuring that the participant learns the correct use and inspection of relevant PPE. Prerequesition: STCW or an equivalent certification. Maximum body weight is 128 kg. This is due to the capacity of our fall arrest systems, which is 140 kg. Note, that there can be other limits in the industry due to the fall arrest systems - usually 136 kg. Example: body weight: 128 kg + clothes and safety shoes: 5 kg + PPE equipment: 7 kg = 140 kg in total. If you do not meet this weight limit, you can not participate in the course due to safety. Be aware, that some OEMs/clients only accepts a maximum body weight at 121 kg.
